In vitro fertilisation

IVF:-
In vitro(glass/test tube/culture plate) fertilisation is a process in which an ova is fertilized with a sperm oitside animal/haman body,in a test tube.This process is a very critical and complicated giving very less amount of success in practical.It requires stimulation to a female to ovulate an/many ova for the process.Taking this ova and semen from male the fertilisation done in a proper, controlled,well nurished environment within a culture.It is mainly done in those cases where female can't grow foetus in side their reproductive tract.And some cases Male and female infertility also.In some cases fertilized ova cam be transferred to the reproductive track/uterus of mother or surrogate mother.
         It is an reproductive technology.The first successful birth of a  child after successful IVF process, Louise Brown in 1978.Robert G. Edwards got Nobel prize in physiology,he co-developed this technique with Patrick Steptoe.
